Wolionese Language Program
The Wolio language and culture learning program at IEP is focused on helping you improve your listening, writing, reading, and speaking skills in Wolio, while also understanding Wolio culture in your everyday life. We have certified, competent, and experienced native Wolio instructors/speakers who are ready to support you. We offer:
- Enjoyable learning using toys, wordless picture books, videos, and audio recordings;
- Learning in a non-traditional, fun, and engaging way that is stress-free and encourages full physical response;
- Learning with highly motivated local speakers who are very patient and have years of experience;
- Learning about unique culture and folklore;
- Participating in cultural visits with your speaker;
- Private classes or small groups of two to three people;
- Building lifelong friendships;
- Starting as a beginner or at your current proficiency level;
- Taking a placement test;
- Learning online via Zoom;
- Listening to recordings of new words from your sessions;
- Learning at your own pace;
- Affordable fees.
More than just learning the language, we will help you understand the culture where Wolio is used (Buton, Muna, Kabaena). Let’s take part in preserving Wolio language and culture together with us.
