Learning is guided by certified native Sundanese nurturers who are experienced and skilled in supporting international learners. Each session combines a variety of interactive activities such as playing language games, exploring folktales, creating stories using wordless picture books, viewing and discussing videos and recordings, and much more. These activities are designed to help you absorb the language in an enjoyable yet effective way. You will also receive vocabulary recordings from every session to support independent practice.

IEP’s Balinese Language and Culture Program is designed to bring you closer to the Balinese people. From language etiquette to traditions that form the rhythm of daily life in Bali, this program is ideal for anyone who wishes to communicate more authentically with local communities, professional partners, or cultural groups across the island.

Classes are guided by certified native Balinese nurturers with extensive experience teaching regional languages to learners from around the world. The learning process focuses on true understanding rather than rote memorization. Learning activities include everyday dialogues, creative activities, cultural expression practice, audiovisual media, and take-home audio recordings to support deep and lasting understanding.

The method is enjoyable and fosters a natural learning experience. Each session also provides audio recordings that you can use for independent practice outside class.

With an enjoyable and interactive learning approach, you will naturally develop your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Participants are also introduced to Cia-Cia folktales, traditions, and cultural values, with opportunities to join cultural visits led by native speakers and experience daily life in Cia-Cia communities firsthand.
